What is the purpose of Offering of the $GODS?

From the perspective of the Immutable team, its main objective is to incentivize Gods Unchained players to keep their $GODS in Immutable X and even deposit them here if they have them in other locations (such as exchanges).

What does it consist of?

It is a program that rewards active players based on the amount of $GODS they hold in your Immutable X account.

Which players can benefit from Offering of the $GODS?

All players who meet the requirements are eligible. Criteria for being "citizens" of Gods Unchained, i.e. those who:

• First of all keep $GODS in your Immutable X account and, in addition, have linked it to their player account in Gods Unchained.
• Second, Do any of the following :
  • Play at least one game of Gods Unchained in each reward period.
  • Create a new NFT through the Forge at least once in each reward period.
  • Buy at least one expansion pack on the Gods Unchained website during each reward period.
  • Buying or selling a card of Gods Unchained on any market that operates on the Immutable X platform at least once per reward period.

How are rewards calculated?

Each reward period will be assigned a certain number of $GODS available in a bag ( Pool ) and Each player will receive a percentage of those $GODS proportional to the amount of $GODS they have held during that period . The bounty percentage is calculated based on the minimum amount of $GODS a player has had in that bounty period as a fraction of all $GODS eligible players have in that same time period.

The Immutable team has put this example :

If a citizen has held $GODS for a period and is eligible for rewards, and all other eligible citizens in that same period have retained a total of 100,000 $GODS, the citizen would get 0.01% of the reward pool. If the reward pool for that period were to amount to 20,000 $GODS, the citizen's reward would be 2 $GODS.

Where do the $GODS from the Offering of the $GODS reward pool come from?

As indicated by the Immutable team, the reward pool of this program Thrives on players' actions , including using the Forge and purchasing expansion packs. It has more than one million $GODS.

What reward periods are there and how are those rewards claimed?

The calculation period for receiving rewards is the Calendar Week . That is, every week that a player meets the eligibility requirements will receive the rewards of this program.

From my point of view, it is a Important milestone for Gods Unchained. Obviously, it is still a temporary solution until the final version of the strike , but allows the team to continue moving forward, as happened with Blessing of the $GODS as a prelude to the Play and Earn daily. The fact that Offering of the $GODS goes live implies a greater utility for the token and, therefore, that players must assess what compensates them to a greater extent: hold? Forging to sell? Forging to play with higher quality cards and get better rewards? All this is essential to achieve a healthy economic model with a future, as this is just another step forward on a long road.

To date, many players have chosen to reinvest their $GODS in buying and forging cards, and that is legal. In any case, the strike No surprise, it was planned.
