On March 22, 2025, the second edition of The Conclave , the face-to-face meeting of Gods Unchained players in Spain. I'm JFA, promoter of this event, and I'm happy to share with you all the details about it.
Background
The first edition of The Conclave was held on April 13, 2024, taking advantage of the launch of the Gods Unchained mobile app, and I think it was very satisfying for the participants (if you're curious about how that first edition developed, you can satiate it right here: "Chronicle of The Conclave – April 2024" ). We gathered a small group of 6 fans, a reasonable amount considering the size of the player base of this pioneering Trading Card Game in the web3 field.
Taking as a starting point that the balance of this experience was really positive, there was an attempt to organize a Second edition in November of that same year, but on that occasion it was not possible to achieve quorum And, logically, convening a face-to-face meeting only makes sense when there is sufficient interest on the part of the community. In view of the above, the idea was to organize a local, small-scale meeting aimed at players residing in Madrid and its area of influence, but when we raised this on the GU Masters server on Discord it was clear that several players located in other areas of Spain were willing to join, so we resumed the initial concept and set March 22, 2025 as the definitive date.
The organization
The most complicated thing about a new project is always getting it off the ground. On this occasion We already had the experience of the first edition and the needs from the organizational point of view were basically the same, since the number of attendees was going to be similar. Therefore, and after the dissemination activity from GU Masters and from my channels on Twitch and YouTube, we rented the same meeting room again, looked for a nearby restaurant with good reviews and everything was advancing at cruising speed.

In principle The number of confirmed attendees was 7 people , but one of them could not attend because at the airport she found that her place was not available due to Overbooking . A real shame, but we trust that on the next occasion there will be no vicissitudes of this kind. It's true that the last-minute change in capacity meant that I had to play the tournament and that left me with less time to prepare for the live broadcast of the afternoon session... But nothing serious, the best thing about being among friends is that everyone does their part to make things work.
The activities
I want to start by highlighting that there was an "activity" that I didn't plan... The attendees had the great detail of giving me a gift to thank me for my involvement in all this, which I thank you from the bottom of my heart . If you want to know what it consisted of, you can find out by watching the video summary of the event that is embedded in the "Graphic testimonials" section of this article (of course, you will have to accept the Cookies stop that... as long as you don't, it won't charge.)
Let's go now with the "official" activities :
- Morning session .- We start with a quick round of questions to "break the ice", we make a humorous trivia indirectly related to Gods Unchained and, immediately after, we decide on the game format for the tournament. It was clear that the tournament was going to be a "playoff" all against all ( Round Robin for English speakers), but it was necessary to determine the specific game mode to be used: the doubt was between only odd or even cards, Pauper (Common and Rare cards) or Singleton (only one copy of each card), and, finally, this last option was selected.
- Afternoon session .- After enjoying a fantastic meal tasting international cuisine (Peruvian, to be exact), we started the afternoon session with a live broadcast on my Twitch channel, which featured brief interventions by some of those present and a trivia open to anyone interested. In this case, it was already a "serious" trivia with about 50 questions about the Gods Unchained universe, and you can watch the recording right here: "The Conclave – Madrid 22/03/2025 – Trivia – Gods Unchained" .
The timetable The scheduled date for the event was from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., but the truth is that we were left wanting more. Consequently, all of us who could took the opportunity to have a farewell beer on our way out. A great day.

If all goes well, you will soon find here a gallery with some photographs of the commemorative magnet of the event in the refrigerators of the participants:
Sponsorships
The Conclave had the honor of once again having the support from the Gods Unchained team , both for communication purposes and by sponsoring incentives for planned activities (card envelopes of the expansion that was about to close its cycle, Fallen Age ).
And, naturally, I think that a humble servant has also done his bit, assuming the responsibility of the organization and providing some decorative/commemorative elements to try to create an environment conducive to achieving a day of shared enjoyment. That's what it's for GU Masters .
Thanks

I think that this summary would not be complete without a section dedicated to I would like to thank all those who have contributed to making this edition of El Cónclave a reality . From the Immutable team (Xonik, GUApe, etc.) to the attendees in face-to-face format (Alcachofo, Asierinho, Delozano, Galgocrack, kz, and, of course, Dewa, who accompanied us in the distance) or virtual (special mention for Adanedel), and to those who have been interested in attending, but have not been able to do so due to different circumstances, as well as to those who have helped to disseminate it, etc.
The future of El Cónclave
The future of El Cónclave looks good, since those attending this edition have already begun to talk about the next one before saying goodbye. It won't take me too long to propose a date, but the important thing is that I think I can say without being wrong that there is already a "hard core" of players who began to share a friendly relationship and who feel united by a shared hobby: Gods Unchained. Objective? That everyone who comes to add to it feels integrated and at ease. How do you see it, do you sign up?
