Gods Unchained Roadmap for 2023

Remember that in July 2022 the Gods Unchained team unveiled a new roadmap ? If you're a veteran player, you sure do (and if you're feeling nostalgic, you can remember it right here: "A new Chapter – Journey Roadmap" ). On a day like today, the roadmap for 2023 , something highly anticipated and that provides us with key information for the rest of the year.

The milestones coming in Gods Unchained

Before we start looking at the details, there are a few aspects that I think are worth looking at highlight In relation to this document:

1. Schematic character : it is limited to stating the main milestones that we can expect, without going into detail.
2. It includes specific temporal references, as it is divided into Quarters .
3. It is part of the communication from the company, which promises to be closer than ever (we can expect more timely updates and a more direct deal on the official Gods Unchained server on Discord).

Second quarter 2023

Highlights in the second quarter:

Cosmetic "Set"

Cosmetic elements play an important role on an aesthetic level, today, and perhaps also in the model Play&Earn future of the game. ¿What news Do you think this cosmetic set will involve?

Preliminary experiments with game modes

Everything indicates that we will start with some simple modes, which will serve to "warm up engines" thinking about the bombshell news of the third quarter. Specifically, we are talking about 12 rotary modes plus 3 main ones. For example, creating decks by combining cards from any domain, starting the game with five unlocked mana, designing decks that only support common and rare cards, etc. This is the responsibility of the Secret 6 team, led by the Gods Unchained team.

New Envelope Opening Experience

The main reason for redesigning this experience is Prepare the game for mobile devices , paying special attention to limited internet connections, which is critical to the growth of the game.

Third quarter of 2023

Highlights in the third quarter:

Sealed mode

I think I'm not wrong when I say that "Sealed" is the Most anticipated game mode for everyone. If all goes according to plan, it will arrive during the third quarter and become an incentive for all players.

New content creation program

As the team explains, "we want to empower our Creators giving them the freedom to create the videos they want. Creators will have access not only to rewards, but also to exciting collaborations, exclusive opportunities, and recognition for the exceptional content they create." We will be attentive.

Control Panel for the strike of $GODS

As you know, $GODS proto-staking has been in operation for a long time (specifically, since June 2022: "Offering of the $GODS: proto-staking in Gods Unchained" ). At last we will have a Control Panel from which to manage this functionality and track the rewards obtained.

Fourth quarter of 2023

Highlights in the fourth quarter:

Season 2

The official launch of Season 2 will occur with a New full expansion and the beginning of expansion rotations . In this regard, the goal of the game team is that the cards of the expansions that have entered rotation maintain their value and this means that the game mode that allows you to use them will need especially attractive rewards. A priori, it looks promising.

"Soft Launch" for mobile devices

As you know, a few months ago we had the opportunity to test the pre-alpha version of Gods Unchained for mobile devices. iLogos is already developing versions for Android and iOS, so that Towards the end of the year a "soft" launch will take place (i.e. a working version but still in beta).

Rewriting Server Logic

The team aims to Rewriting Server Logic , which will be accompanied by other technical improvements (such as the migration of the game client to Unity). This should translate into greater reliability and performance.

Adjusting our expectations as players

I don't know what your expectations were, but I was waiting for this new roadmap like water in May. I think this is especially important and my feeling is that this time around the Gods Unchained team has done some serious planning to reach the milestones set out on schedule. As is evident, only the passage of time will clear us of doubts .

I have no doubt that all the elements that are part of this roadmap they are crucial to the success of Gods Unchained, and even so, there are some "loopholes". Now it's time to be patient to Enjoy progress as it happens .
