What is your personal balance of 2023 in Gods Unchained?

In order not to lose good habits, the time has come to take stock of what has happened in the year that has just ended. I'm JFA, from GU Masters, and I trust that this analysis exercise will be of interest to you and inspire you to do yours. It is a magnificent way to measure objectives achieved, detect deviations from the proposed objectives and identify areas for improvement .

Sports results

Let's start by looking at what happened from the perspective of Gods Unchained as "Esports" (i.e., e-Sport ) during 2023. Compared to 2022 it has been a year with less activity in this area , although it is worth noting the fourth skirmish, baptized as Endless Falls , which was a novel way of involving the community in the development of the Lore of the game (with final victory for Draka, my choice, and bitter defeat for Sartonians).

In my case, I participated in tournaments on a one-off basis: Infinite Mana League (top 16) and Endless Falls (top 32). The Gods Unchained team has announced that, just like in Tides of Fate, they focused on the mechanics of the crafting , in the next expansion they want to put the Focus on the competitive scene . From my point of view, in an ideal scenario this means that:

1. The question of the Information asymmetry of players (deck confidentiality).
2. The following will be incorporated: Native solutions for tournament organization to the game client.
3. The "Spectator mode" .

We'll have to wait and see , of course.

In 2024 I aim to improve my winning percentage , which has remained unchanged since 2021, managing to sneak into the top 100 of the Infinite Mana MMR Rankings.

Economic results

In a Play & Earn game like Gods Unchained, it makes perfect sense not to just measure sports results, but also the Economic . Following the launch of the daily P&E and Offering of the $GODS as proto-staking in 2022, in 2023 the strike . I am confident that in 2024 we will see changes in the game's progression system with a reward system that takes into account the player's involvement in the different dimensions of the game, i.e. that considers both performance (rank/wins) and the breadth of card collection and degree of engagement in the game. strike . I would also like to think that there will be improvements to the strike , so that it is easy to monitor the results obtained on a regular basis (quarterly, yearly, etc.).

Last but not least in a TCG, we have all the rewards distributed in the form of cards, on and off chain . In fact The cards deserve their own section . Do we see it?

Card Collection

As you know Each player has different goals . When it comes to your access to Gods Unchained cards, your goal may be to expand your collection without investing any money, or you may have three or four competitive decks to try to maximize rewards. In my case, I aspire to make my collection as complete as possible.

Gods Unchained Community and "Ecosystem"

Following the changes to the Gods Unchained team in 2022, 2023 has been a year of consolidation . With Daniel Paez at the helm and key projects outsourced to third parties, the different milestones included in the roadmap have been reached and we can expect the Soft Launch of the mobile version in January 2024. Likewise, some mechanics have been implemented that are intended to play a key role ( crafting ) and there have been significant advances in making the game known (it is fair to highlight campaigns with such powerful actors as Epic and Amazon).

As for the Player volume , a certain decline during the middle of the year has given way to stabilization and growth in the final part of the year. It therefore makes sense to look to 2024 with optimism in this regard. Likewise, the revitalization of crypto, including the in-game token, should reinforce this trend.

This year has marked the end of my second consecutive term as a member of the Council of Mortals, so I have made way for other members of the community (here is my assessment of those two terms: "Recap: CoM1 and CoM2" ). I think that this advisory body has established itself as a useful tool to improve the game during 2023. This does not mean that there is no room for improvement, as is natural. There is and I want to think that player representation will continue to gain importance .

¿ Content creation ? This is my 24th article so far this year, so GU Masters is in good health. If I had to highlight any of the articles published this year, it would be the one entitled "How to Identify the Best Cards in Gods Unchained" . In addition, I continue to broadcast live every Tuesday and Thursday at 7:15 p.m. (mainland Spain time), with more than 200 followers on Twitch and more than 160 in You Tube . I'll be keeping a close eye on the official incentive scheme for content creators, which shouldn't take too long to see the light of day.

What are your goals in Gods Unchained for 2024?

As I explained at the beginning, in order to improve it is essential to set goals and measure their degree of compliance (my recommendation is that they are goals SMART ). Consequently... What are your goals for 2023?

In my case , and taking as a starting point that I play Gods Unchained for fun, I aspire to the following.

Sports results

On a sporting level, my intention is to Compete in the most important official and unofficial tournaments , with the main objective of improving my level as a player. Will 2024 be the year of the first official Gods Unchained world tournament?

Monitoring : the last day of each month.

Economic results

Will collectors see our commitment to the game rewarded in 2024? I would like to think that this will be the case, but it remains to be seen. In any case, I will continue to have as Objectives :

• Achieve a minimum of three wins in the Play & Earn daily (approximately 600 to 900 fragments, which should translate into a minimum of 4 or 5 $GODS per day).
• Reach 10 wins each Weekend Ranked in Mythic (more difficult than the previous point, but not entirely unattainable).
• In the absence of knowing more about the team's plans in relation to the strike , keep my $GODS balance (and aim to increase it to a minimum of 3000).
• Attempt Anticipate market movements , identifying high-potential cards.

Card Collection

I want to get a complete collection of each new expansion (By "complete collection" I mean one copy of each Legendary card and two copies of cards with other rarities.) What will we find in 2024?

Outside or inside the Council of Mortals, my goal will continue to be contribute to the development of a healthy community, in which we all feel welcome and that it fosters our growth as players (and, for that matter, as people).
